While working as a PA I took a month off to volunteer abroad in Hohoe, Ghana. It was the most eye opening and unbelievable experience of my life. I went there thinking I would be helping them and instead they helped ME. I left soon realized that they have such a jovial and content culture. Who was I think to think I could make it better? Instead, they taught me that material things only complicate life and appreciating every moment for what its worth and enjoying time with friends and family means so much more.
